Hi all, Craig "IDMooseMan" Peters. I've been an FEP member for a few months now and found this group. Thought I'd join. I have a 1979 Mustang Ghia. I also have a 5-volume set of 1979 Car Shop Manuals, so if you need something looked up, I'll do what I can to find the info you need. It'll give me some practice using the manuals, too.
Anyone in the group from Idaho?
No, I'm a little too far south, but I've got a heap of questions regards the Vin code v for the C3 gearbox found behind Cologne V6 versions, some of the blue motor T and B code Mustang 3.3 engines with the the 138 tooth flywheel, and the fitting of the 5R55 5-stage gearbox to the C3 bellhousing behind it. I run a C3 in my 1982 model 3.3, and it runs a stock Blue high mount 3.3 B code engine that is similar to the 1979 T code high mount 3.3. Wondering if the C3 gearbox fitment was a Dearborn Assembly Plant/San Jose thing or what? Some V6's got C3 or C4's, some I6's got C3 or C4's, no rhyme nor reason.
