Cobra Corner added to Production Numbers and Decoding due to the recent rise in popularity that the first Fox Cobras are seeing. Just a few years ago, the 79-81 Mustang Cobras were virtually forgotten and owners would be told that there were no Cobras before 1993. Now, prices for good condition 1979, 1980, and 1981 Cobras are on the rise, as can be found on the online auction and auto ad sites. More enthusiasts are seeking out these cars and putting them back on the road. Everything from the fantastic and tastefully modified to the pristine and show room stock is being seen and noticed in the Cobra breed.
There is much to be learned about options, production numbers, and obscure factory variances. Information such as door tags, buck tags, build sheets and other useful items is welcomed, whether from a perfect show car to a junkyard heap, it can all be of great use to those attempting to catalog this information. So, if you have a Cobra, are looking for one, or just plain like them, stop by the Cobra Corner and take a look around. |
